The Ptsd Beat

thin skin and taut thought

                                            cowering

                                  drumsticks everywhere

It is an extreme reaction, with rest it should abate. Thank you my friend, xomo

this FIRST line is masterfully wrought; the unforgettable deeds make the term "collective human pain body" another way toward HEALING for all SURVIVORS/overcomers. Shalom & Witnessed Silences

Thank you Anil. Trying to describe the fragile over sensitized state. Our body and minds are indistinguishable to trauma, be it mental, emotional, or physical.

Lol ;) PTSD a symptom of PCS, how the brain rewires itself after a physical trauma. In fact PTSD symptoms can occur after serious physical trauma to any part of the body, not just the head. Family history of depression, previous emotional trauma etc make one more susceptible. That said fingers crossed, I've never been in a war zone. xomo

With this piece originally named "Noise Complaint" I fear the intended meaning was obscured by metaphor.

Lol! Yeah. Not in my house. I can't even handle dishes clanking; and you think that'd be music to my ears. ;)
