The promise of the night
Hides her as she takes flight
Down the valley of the shadow
Where her lover waits below

Leaving all she knows behind
Hoping for a chance to find
True love in the moonlight
In the promise of the night

Gone are the fears of her flight
In the promise of the night
Locked in love's embrace
Moon's love light on her face
