The Promise

In the house of the Lord
They promise
To run hand in hand in the sun and in the rain.
They promise
To share their laughter and their tears.
They promise
To make a home
And decorate it with colour and light.
They promise
To make their dreams reality.
They promise
To carry each other over the sea.
They promise
To cherish their love forever.
They promise
To live and die together.

Very nice one! I definitely agree with Lyrics man down below, the repeating phrase throughout is a great effect, to the constancy of any union. Always, Laura

Thanks Laura. I had written this one when I was quite young, but then re-wrote it when I was older. I'm glad the repetition sounds good.
