The Prodigal
The Prodigal
Prodigal son Jeremiah 29:11
What have you done? “For I know the plans I
That has taken you have for you,” declares the Lord
so far away. "plans to prosper you
and not to harm you
to give you hope and a future."
Prodigal boy,
Your mother’s lost her joy
Her days fill with sorrow
Her prayers for tomorrow…
She longs for a day
That you will come to stay,
In the safety of her love.
She can’t protect you where you are!
When will you come back
to travel on the right track?
Every day that you’re gone,
The angels weep with her
and dry her tears
Through all those wasted years.
Prodigal son where will you be
When you reach end of your rope
Do you still have hope?
The drugs have dulled your mind,
Your body filled with pain
Your soul has lost its shine
Are all her prayers in vain?
Prodigal son
There is a hope!
It is never too late
To let the arms of the Father
Eliminate this fate.
He will wrap you in His arms
And give you a future and a hope.
Come back and restore
You’ll be better than before.
Its not too late!
He opens the gate
And welcomes you with His love!
Prodigal son
You’re not undone!
