The Problem With Pens

an instrument of peace
to write an indifferent script
a total recall of everything you forgot
to keep away from
the touching of a hip*

a mess of ink and spots
put to paper and pen
a vague remembrance
of everything you forgot
as you struggle so within

a vessel of patch and clue
to keep you focused
on an all-prevailing line
to be a part of something else
and discover a divine designed
