The Problem With Dreams
You've told me I love you a thousand times
You told me you loved me more
Told me about the life you want with me
Looked at me like I was your world
And I knew that everything you said was true
I knew I'd always have you
But all that changes in a moment
When I can no longer see the light in your eyes
Your words have no meaning,
Your gaze holds only distance
And I freeze like a trapped animal
As the fear spreads like frost
And suddenly I know, like I always knew
I was always meant to lose you
I'm half-living in a dream or a nightmare
But the problem with dreams
Is that you never know what's real
Until you wake up
