The Privacy of Your Dreams

Listen to poem:
what do you dream of when you go to sleep at night where do you fly to when you turn off the light hours of travel all alone in your mind tell me there what it is you find together in our wake i long for a retake when we kiss under the heavens i know i'm rolling all sevens who is it that you meet in the darkness of your sleep just you two lit by moonbeams in the ocean deep does he look anything like me who is he then your fantasy i hate to invade your privacy your dreamworld is yours to see but in the freedom of your imagination am i your choice in a world void of caution September 14 2016 MY

Hello Muarice. First I enjoyed the formatting and layout execution. Your theme is lovely. Not that I pay attention to the remarks of others because I want to have my own opinion and review however I so agree with Victor. Let me also add nice work and execution with the rhyme. Well done entirely.

Congrats on potw. Very nice poem. The answer, from the time I was nine till I was 27 I only remember dreams being my recurring nightmare. After that very very very very few Recollections of Dreams. Since January I may have had two dreams. Yes, one of a man. Won't say his name. The other was another nightmare. Different one but another nightmare. With nightmares like that the absence of Dreams might be preferable. Congratulations again.

This is the kind of thing I would love to find out about my good friends! And YOU!! As for myself, my dreams are so strange, they often involve people I do not even know from Adam!! AS usual, a poem I loved reading. You are someone I can always depend on to deliver an enjoyable poem. SEVEN

Interesting thought, I'll have to ask my wife about who she dreams of. I'll add my seven to your fine poem.

Armand, I love the mention of travel in your first stanza. In our dreams we have the ability to go anywhere and do anything. I love the journey your poem took me on. Beautiful! 7 : )

While it's true we have no choice of companions in our dreams, or choices in the waking world (as you describe in the last verse) are what count the most. Often dream characters seem faceless and unidentifiable. Perhaps one day we will meet in our dreams. Love this, Maurice!
