The Principle of Dipoles

a fool i was
thinking
were my sights trained 
someplace else
far away
i will be free
then there is
the principle of dipoles
where one tends to align
attract
itself to an
opposed polarity
she came from somewhere south
helpless irises
are drawn to
a divinity placed on a podium
by everyone else

who was i anyway

north pole attracted to the south
my sights were trained
thinking
a fool i was
