The Pride

By rontwigger

What will you do if nothing's left but pride?
Will you keep on moving to the ground that is wide
Enough for a comfort dwelling where you thrive?
Or stay underneath where the burdens drive?

When half of your life been melted like a candle,
And nothing changes but your world grow darker.
Will you still be picking the ball and dribble?
Or call for a timeout and be a vow breaker?

But an evil character continue to flame
And it never gives up nor it accepts a blame.
And I will be with you for you are my pride,
You had an I and I had a you for a long tide.

Let's all keep it for it is all we've got.
For when times go perverse it's where we can hide.
Let's all keep it as well as its tittle dot.
For just like stars out there, our time is in God's tide.
