The Price of Progress
Behold the world, once calm and still,
Now humming with machines of endless thrill,
We've lost ourselves in technology's web,
Our human connections now hanging by a thread.
Efficiency and ease, the world's new call,
But at what price do we forsake our all?
The loneliness and sadness, thick in the air,
We inhale it like a toxic, noxious snare.
Let us step back, and take a new path,
Find joy in life, and forget the world's wrath,
For happiness lies in moments we share,
Not in the machines that surround us with care.
Behold the world, once calm and still,
Let us find our way back, and heal.
