The Price of Forgiveness
Forgiveness doesn’t live here,
so don’t come knocking at this door.
It’s closed.
I already paid the price with a broken heart.
Forgiveness doesn’t live here anymore.
I locked that door.
“I’m sorry” will never fix this broken soul.
Don’t ask.
I paid the price when you nailed me to the cross.
Now I bleed on people who never cut me.
So don’t ask me for forgiveness.
It doesn’t live here.
And I don’t care.
You were the only one I trusted.
Now I’m broken and fragile.
Love stopped living here, so I don’t care.
I already paid a price money can’t buy.
I will never forgive you,
so don’t ask.
Forgiveness doesn’t live in the walls you built.
Bitterness and pain - that’s all that lives within.
Don’t ask.
Forgiveness comes at a cost money can’t fix.
