The Present Past

A question my love,
Will you always love me?
Forever is now!
Could I ever let us be?

A time for all things?
Am I not the one?
Are you here to stay?
Or just to have some fun?

My future ends with you,
Jump-started by me.
Why my precious love?
How can this be?

If I am not your future,
Just a present past,
Then aim for nothing!
Your free at last.

But do not linger here.
Why do you torture me so?
Do not tease me with your love.
If you have to leave, just go!
