Notes About The Poem

The Present

The past is gone,
Keep moving on – remembering,
Not regretting, never fretting…
What’s done is done, so keep moving on
The past is gone – the past is gone

The future is coming,
Keep hoping for the best,
There is potential in the upcoming…
But don’t let tomorrow become
The only reason for holding on

The present is here,
Keep believing in this moment,
Where light reflects the gentle,
Where hearts are embraced…
By the most beautiful gift there is –
The present remembers only this…

To grant the heart offering of one moment at a time,
One blessing that you’ll find – lives
Inside the present moment, the existing of a smile,
The wonder of the here and now,
Where each miracle can be found out…
Oh, how I love the present where I can live most richly,
With assurance that my life is flowing with an existing joy,
A joy in knowing that His love is growing – in this moment

I see it’s increase in each passing gift of the present day,
The beautiful that prays – for His lasting grace!
