The Predator

The Predator

Everybody knows the emblem
that he serves and he protects
the symbol of their freedom
that in fear they show respects
everybody knows the silence
that unfairness interrupts
the voice that isn't counted
by the power that corrupts
everybody knows the sound
of the predator's delights
as he summons you to judgment
beneath his flashing lights
no one knows the price of freedom
isn't soldiers that were lost
nor the burden of their taxes
it's the fines, fees, and the costs
