The Preciousness of Scripture

All of us have precious things
that to us are personally dear
we may not have silver or gold
but deep down it's abundantly clear

When one is a true believer
in God and His merciful grace
revealed in His son Jesus Christ
one feels loved before His face

This is revealed in Holy Scripture
which comes down from God above
showing HIs affection for this world
sending the message of sovereign love

This God gave His holy word
so to tell bus of the redemption
of a people chosen for Himself
bringing them such precious salvation

Such is the preciousness of scripture
to those who love the Lord their God
having God's promises means so very much
knowing the power in God's mighty sword
