The Preakness

It’s the second jewel of the big racing crown. The race takes place every May in Baltimore town. Horses in the Kentucky Derby will have another go at a racetrack everybody knows as “Pimlico”. Here’s another chance for horses and jockeys to show their prowess. The racing elite meet in a competition called “The Preakness”. Thousands of horse racing fans will be there. Don’t look for me. I won’t be found anywhere. The gambling world is certainly not a land of milk and honey. I don’t care for the race. I have better uses for my money.

i love to watch the triple crown races even thought i don't gamble at all. i just enjoy the horses and all the excitement that goes along with it. i choose my horse based on the horse's looks and name and cheer as if i had money on the race. i enjoyed your poem...
