The Prayer

THE PRAYER
Lord, help me to be better than myself
That my today, a vision of yesterday and morrow a tea to drink
When will the end come; I don’t want to know but for me-wait
I thank you for the extraordinary that sometimes seem a curse
Free me from my self, take me off my shell that I may know more

Hurry I’m not, for heaven but make me a saint for now on earth
I’ve struggled to be a god and you made me, with a price
I do enjoy the race of these accolades but I want more

Yahweh all I always wanted is to be the HYBRID
I know man cannot be blessed twice but that is what I want
To be greater than those before and still have a life

Scared I am that my strength will be weakness
But Lord save me from that hour, only to be a god among men
All I have given, I pray you hear me for I am just being sincere
It is my being humane
SO HELP ME GOD
