The Power of Words

Say what you mean Mean what you say, Words fill the ocean Waves wash them away. Soothing and hopeful Uplifting and dear, Do you mean what you say? Sadly not is my fear. Playing word games is easy If both know the rules, But if I say what I mean Perhaps I’m a fool. Shadows abound now My spirit is breaking, Once again waiting This heart again breaking.

Very touching poem, Barbara. The "word games" are too prevalent in the world today. Love, Carolyn
