The Power of Three Little Words

The power of three little words

Three little words that we all need to hear
Spoken out loud or whispered in our ear
Since we were born 
we heard our dear mother say them
Lived our lives wishing and hoping 
our father could say them
Brothers and sisters... they
need to say them too
Yes, there's no more powerful words 
than these three little words 
I love you!

These three words sometimes 
have much more power
than you realize 
They've been said 
at just the right time 
and saved a
young persons life
An anxious young man may say it 
to his beloved
hoping she will confirm 
that she too cares
But...there's no more awkward silence 
than having I love you 
left floating unanswered in the air.

There are those that are stoic 
and who try to show it 
by their actions alone
Saying you know how I feel...don't you
don't I show my affection for you?
It may be so... but there's so much more 
power in saying those three little words
I love you!

So go ahead!  Just say it! 
Make someones good day even better
Say it out loud, whisper it in their ear
say it in a card or even... in a letter?

Say it today! say it everyday!
it makes you feel even better too!
For there are no three words more powerful than
I love you.
