The Power of Storms

The power of storms
To break down our forms
Ease out the contentment
Move in the resentment
Over something so small
Shouldn't bother at all
But we let it constrain
And there it remains
A portrait of valor
Our egos in power
We salute to it daily
And contemplate rarely
The life it consumes
And breaks down in ruins
While we sit and we say
Sure we're ok
But inside we're screaming
And silently seething
Though we refuse to be taught
And our partner knows naught
Of the tranquility lost
In our concealment plot
