The Power of Silence
Today I rolled up my tongue
And put it away, not caring
What my mind had to say
My silence was enough
To put the stress away!
The day was quiet and long
But you see life is short
Silence even in anger
Does not have the will to retort!
Facts are things that noise distorts
I hear the wind creeping in the air
As chirping birds speak
In multitudes of tongue
As dusk approaches, letting the
Insects take on this debate!
When the need to fly home
Has risin up, all birds partake
For to dawn they have sworn, to wake!
All these silent moments
I cannot, well enough communicate
Healing wounds that dissipate
Does a bud that blooms today
Make a noise in anyway?
I open my eyes to ease and gentility
Accepting the power of silence
In sweet serenity!
