The Power of Prayer

Oh, I was feeling blue one day

So I bowed my head to pray.

A special feel came over me

And I dropped down upon my knees.

I couldn’t speak. I was in awe.

And then, it was the Lord I saw.

And then, He smiled and spoke to me.

He said “My son, you shall be free.”

I then knew what happened there.

I had just felt the power of prayer.

When it was done, I got up and

I ran next door to tell my friend.

She thought I was telling lies

Until she looked into my eyes.

And then, she said “It must be true.”

And I told her “This could be you.”

“Please tell me how. I want to know”

She said with her heart aglow.

“Just bow you head and close your eyes,

Then you may feel the same as I”

“Thank you, God, for all you’ve done”

And then she stopped ’cause it begun.

She couldn’t speak. She was in awe.

And then, it was the Lord she saw.

And when He smiled and spoke to her,

Right then she knew and she was sure

Of what had happened then and there.

Yes, she too felt the power of prayer.
