The Power of Love (Conclusion)

The 6th Day

As if God was pleased,
After so very long days
Of universal struggles
Culminating now
A most glorious day
Long awaited, seen through skies
like a bright smile of colors
t'Was the first rainbow
And up in the trees
Melodious whistles were heard.
In concert, larks and magpies
Blue birds and swallows.

Ode to His great joy
t'Wasn't due to the season
For Spring had just reappeared
Or the whale's high rise
Over the water
And Lo! Out of the heavens
Beautiful choirs of voices
Angels sung on high
Nature joined their praise
For this day was a birthday
A cosmic celebration
His pride and delight.

The birth of His heirs
The reason for creation
His heart filled with elation
Swelled with deepest love
Even He could not
Fathom its intensity
t'Was the dawn of the Sixth Day
The sun like fire rose
The long night was gone
The long winter had ended
To His children, He gave His all
The Power of Love.

Enjoyed your write today, Caroline! Hope you are well and enjoy your piano play! I guess you love Chopin! Wished I could play an musical instrument, but I have to be satisfied with records and tapes. My favourite jazz band is The Modern Jazz Quartet and when I travelled through Spain in the late 70ies I found some nice records in a small shop and until now they won't have any scratches...Thank you for your friendly comments and have a nice week! Alles Gute, Gert

What a magnificent, uplifting conclusion to your creation series, Caroline! I hope our Lord's heart is still "filled with elation" as he looks down upon us today. Surely he does when he sees people like you. Thanks for giving us this awesome, inspirational series and thank you even more for your friendship. Love, Carolyn
