The Power Connection

Every time I react
I give my power away
Then I forget who I am
As fear pulls me astray

I forget this education
Taking things so seriously
This world is like Harvard
I'm getting a soul degree

I always base my worth
On that symbol of lack $ $ $
And I give my life away
As money makes me react

Then I blame another
Isn't someone else to blame?
Reacting to political rhetoric
In the stagnant old way

Like a pin ball machine
Bouncing in every direction
Always reaching away from me
And losing my power connection
