Great poem, these words speak truth to me. I always try to please others and I end up not being happy in the end. I guess that is a poor choice to please others and not oneself. I will cherish this advice, Love Elizabeth

Oh, I have so much trouble with this. I'm not assertive, and I feel like I have to please everyone, which of course is impossible. A frustrating condition, for sure! Great poem, from which I will certainly try to take inspiration in my own life. Wish me luck!

Amen to that Raul. I did that for a long time, until I realised that whatever I did, they will not be happy, and to truly be happy, you need to BE happy yourself! Well done Peace Fathima

This is sound and true advice beautifully written. Thank for your kind words. Boo had been with us for almost 18 years. She was herself up to the end. She just peacefully went to sleep. God bless. Love Robin

Sometimes I think we work so hard living up to their expectations we've no idea until we've achieved the goal that it is of no importance to us. Stepping out takes guts.
