The Point of Departure
Depart from the stronghold
To a place i will show you
Came the message
Through the prophet Gad
No more running and pretense
At lunacy to escape
From an enemy seeking
To destroy you
Snatched to safety to a place
Where they are unable to get you
There you escaped king
With your life and an injury
As you Recall the feel
Of the sacred soil
As it runs through your fingers
Promising yourself a return
Having to leave in haste
Lest those after you overtake thee
At the stronghold you had it all
But there was the looming dark cloud
Arriving at a different city
Consolidating your efforts
Uniting your forces
For you not strong enough yet
For victory is granted by the Lord
And the battle is not to the strong
Or the race to the swift
And visions come from the Lord
Said the prophet Gad
depart from the stronghold
To a place of safety
The Lord will show you
