The Point

The Point

The point to draw blood...
the point to reach mountain tops...

The point to get beyond walls...
the point the anvil drops...

The point to make from a long dissertation...
the point to achieve called graduation.

The point our parents reach... when they are no longer their own...
and the point we, as children reach... when we admit them into a home.

The point of tears...
but must resist to be strong.

The point of exhaustion...
with so many emotions experienced all day long.

The point when there is no turning back
and the point of dusk, before everything goes black.

These are the points we all fear and resist.
Some go without a fight, while others violently deny, saying "I must persist."

What is your point... that keeps you up at night,
the point... that makes you deceive?

Are you strong, bold, faithful... hopeful... courageous... enough
to pass through... and see what's on the other side...
Do you have what it takes to believe?
