The Poetry Binge

THE POETRY BINGE

she once wrote the serious stuff
legaleze that ended in a dollar
                            when times got very tough
she forgot she was a scholar

but when the kids were grown
and when she had some time
she set off on her own
                            to chase a little rhyme

at first she failed it all
                            the words escaped her, too
                            but recovered from the fall
and found her point of view.

and when she found her voice
the words jumped on the page
                             she didn't have a choice
she gave the words a stage.

Keep binging and I will keep reading my friend...Thanks for the spell-check! ( I get my A's and U's backwards sometimes) - Tim

Here, the words were given a stage. Great piece.

beautiful poem, well written. In such a windy and snowy day, reading this piece just completes my relaxation. What a poem!
