The Poet Opens a Door

The pouring out of emotions
The poet opens a door
The thoughts we think
The words we write
Come from our very core

No one sees within
That’s what our words will do
Our memories
Thoughts of future times
What we try to convey to you

Your senses have awakened
Heart to mind to soul
Believe in yourself
Experience nature
You, and the world, become whole

The pouring out of emotions
The poet opens a door
The thoughts we think
The words we write
Come from our very core
