The Poet On His Wedding Day

It was a day
like a dream day
of the flowers,
the colors
white
pink
purple
lavender,
All enchanting me
Also dressed up
But where was my heart
that heart
the emptiness
that sorrow
The poet was in thought
all the way,
all the time
during the wedding
His wedding
His day
lying still
lifeless
The day of the poet
The day of his death,
The death of a poet.
