Notes About The Poem

The Poet is a poem from my book Melodious Verse, and Forever Spoken in 2007 it won an editors choice award in 2007. It is an Anaphora, Epitaph, Quatrain, written in Clerihew rhyme and 36 words. Centered for aesthetic symmetry the image is by me Josehf Lloyd Murchison.

The Poet

The Poet


He was a poet young and bright.
He never had fame from the things he did write.
He never was brave or the king of the town.
He just did his own thing, and travelled around.
