The Plunge

For years he held “I do” at bay.	   
He used to say,
"I love to be
completely free

“I wish you all the best,” he said
as others wed
but sought no wife
to share his life.

   ****************

Now he’s met one who holds his heart.
Their brand-new start
begins tonight
as love takes flight.

Kim Rodrigues July 28, 2021 at 5:13 AM There is that one that makes a guy fall hard…the love of his life. I was just asking my Dad about when he met my mom. Before that he said, he would go out…no big deal. But Mom and Dad clicked. When his Dad asked him what his intention was, he said, “I love her, Dad.” Mom died in April…the story all the more sweeter.
