The Plunge

For years he held “I do” at bay.	   
He used to say,
"I love to be
completely free

“I wish you all the best,” he said
as others wed
but sought no wife
to share his life.

   ****************

Now he’s met one who holds his heart.
Their brand-new start
begins tonight
as love takes flight.

Before that he said, he would go out…no big deal. But Mom and Dad clicked. When his Dad asked him what his intention was, he said, “I love her, Dad.” Mom died in April…the story all the more sweeter.
