Notes About The Poem

The Plain Truth

Let’s be clear that we’re living out a dream For what we’re seeing is effect, not cause Borne of heart’s desire, we ourselves did stream Which, if we choose, we may any time pause Believing ourselves to be body-mind A sense of false identity is born Ego cravings then grip us in their bind Freedom attained when all desires are shorn Our earth life purpose is to grow in love Recognising all life forms are entwined For which head and heart must act hand in glove Whereupon truth of oneness is divined Nothing need be done here, save being still Surrendered at God’s feet, voids within fill 21-May-2022

You have movingly expressed what should be our purpose on earth--and how it is prevented by ego. Janice
