The Place of Slumber 4

With arrows and bow and makeshift shield
She ventured on her way
Her intentions, to kill the evil there;
The beast, she was to slay.
As darkness came upon her now
Just as she reached the cave
A sound, a scary guttural sound,
Emerged, and fear it gave.
Pressing on, she moved, without a light
No direction for her, but wall.
Arrow ready, bow in front
She was here to make him fall.
The sound emerged from the depths
Again, it made her shriek.
She thought, however, of pain for it;
The beast, the thing she seeks.
