The Phoenix Shall Rise Again

****
			       Darkened
                              ashes litter
                              the ground
			          Dust
** The rubble of who I became **
But within the dust lies a spirit
A spirit that cannot be defeated
                I summon my courage
                             My strength
                             A fire within
                                  Arise
			        fair soul
                                   ***
                                     *
                 This fire cannot be extinguished
Limitless, I reach for the sky
For I will rise again, and learn to fly

Nicely-done, Avery. I can "see" the phoenix in your poem. Lovely!
