The Phoenix and Her Lover

Exuberant rapture
Spinning pirouette
Incandescent burning blaze
Spirited phoenix lost in lucent glory

Her anguish
Tired wings
Searing searching eyes

Leathered hands reach softly
Embers steady flame
Unfaltering gaze
Whispers of midnight
Blissful respite
