The Phoenix
From the ashes of the Holocaust,
That all-consuming fire,
The Phoenix has arisen
And kept hold of the old desire
To create for itself a Heimat
Free from the infiltration
Of any other creed or race,
A single Jewish nation;
To create for itself a climate
Free from fear of persecution
To find some special sacred space
To build its own final solution.
