The Philosophical Value of Doubt

I deny Socrates.
I don’t know that I don’t know.
But I believe it.

I deny Descartes.
I am, not because I think.
But I believe it.

Hello Mario, I like the counterpose you present in your Haiku here to the traditional views of Socrates and Descartes. This is indeed refreshing to see and quite interesting. A "7" on this write. I will be doing more reading of your poetry. I'm quite interested in the intellectual heft you bring to Poetry Soup. All my work is oriented toward publication. My pleasure to know you. BTW, my new book is entitled: "Conversations with My Muse," and was released on 9 April. Best Wishes!! Gary

Thanks Mario. I will try to be a frequent reader. I do understand the language thing. Although a native English speaker, I have studied several other languages and have used them professionally in the past. I do appreciate the difficultly when operating outside one's native tongue!! Thanks for checking out my poetry. I have already started the long process toward my second book of poetry in the future. Much to do. Best Always, Gary

Dear Gary, my main limits are the incomplete knowledge of english language. I am so happy to meet you on this site. I was able to find your book and read some of your fine poetry there. Congratulations indeed for your Muse! Thanks for coming, you are very welcome
