The Phantom of the Shore
“Who is that man standing by the shore?”
“Just a phantom nothing more?”
But this phantom will make her heart soar
With much burlesque nevermore, with romance never seen before
Because he’s the man by the shore and the lady in gray never knew what was in store. His beautiful face shook her to the core,
His body hardened as if coming back from a great war. His captivating dark eyes gave her love even more galore.
But in the heartbeats counting up to four. For the next day he left her heart sore.
For a lady with a better score and a woman in gray, with nothing more but poor.
