The Perpetual Voyage

I dream of a lost abandoned place, Ah! That evanescent paradise, The fervent wind takes an eager pace, My naive heart frets of velvet vice. Ah! That evanescent paradise, The road leads me to a vintage town, My naive heart frets of velvet vice, Alluring caricatures in brown. The road leads me to a vintage town, Frayed memories remind me to stay, Alluring caricatures in brown, My voyage blends me to float away. Frayed memories remind me to stay, The fervent wind takes an eager pace, My voyage blends me to float away, I dream of a lost abandoned place. Wonderful imagery, we all have our favorite forms to write in but I love seeing the diversity in writing. A lovely Pantoum.

Such exquisite phrases, my friend: "evanescent paradise", "velvet vice", "alluring caricatures", "the fervent wind". These are perfect for a pantoum, rondeau, kyrielle, quatern, and any poem that features repeating lines, because the reader is pleased to see these wonderful phrases appear again! It is true in life that the wanderer dreams of settling down, and the settled down dream of wandering! The important thing is that we forget not our dreams, nor why we dreamed them in the first place!

Thank you for giving an insight into the construction of poetry dear friend. Your words are always a source of motivation and knowledge and inspire me to write more often. I agree that remembering our dreams is the most important thing to keep going no matter what the reasons or obstacles might be. Thsnk you for your kind words. God bless you John :)
