The Perfection You Never Had

I am the beautiful soul kept in the dark I am the spark of honesty I am the treasure of piety I am the truth of all, rejected by most I do not take pride, nor do I boast I am a man seeking to purify himself I am a woman seeking to beautify herself I am the man feeding the poor I am the hero fighting your war I am the essence of charity I am the peace following verity I am the ultimate sacrifice I am the love which will suffice I am the tear of remembrance flowing down your face I have no color, no gender, and no race I am the way of life you wanted to embrace I am everything you never were.

I'm sorry, but I don't know much about Shamanism, aboriginal traditions and tribal rituals. I don't think I've known a Native in my life, let alone one who practiced Shamanism. Canada is a vast country, and where I'm from is very distant from Native or Inuit territory.

Your country is fascinating. I would like to learn more of it. My contest would value an entry on Shamanism in Canada. I have read there are many Indian and Inuit religions practicing in a Shamanic tradition, Kwakiutl, Haida, Tsimshian, the Blackfoot, Peigan, Blood, Sarcee and the Ojibwa, Cree, Huron, Iroquois. Would you consider writing us a tale of how god is or was reached through the Shamanic traditions of your homeland? [the contest is called The Shamanic Way] Light & Love
