The Perfect Storm
It is dark, cold and lonely,
Here where I live.
The damage is massive,
I can't seem to forgive.
The dirty deed,
Done unto me.
None so blind as those,
Who cannot see?
I was not aware you were,
A wrecking ball.
When I figured it out?
My flesh began to crawl.
You did things you swore,
You would never do,
You left me alone,
Every cell in my body cries out for you.
I cannot seem to recall,
When it took a turn for the worse.
I once believed you were a blessing,
Really, you’re a curse.
When you try to make someone look bad,
You can never look good.
The love you were presenting,
I miss understood.
You hold you head high, like you're in the right,
I have a different point of view.
For real, Medusa,
hasn't got nothing on you.
You had me convinced we were,
On the same page.
My love for you turned into,
A bitter tasting rage.
When you left you took,
All that was warm.
Careful, I have been brewing,
The Perfect Storm.
