The Perfect Calm
The circle burnt on perfect surface
Hidden by a book of gold
The dying man repents its purpose
Only when the book won’t fold
A perfect place with perfect season
Painted on our inner sight
The perfect calm will give us reason
To paint the world with every light
The jump will save us from our timeless
The every hour that became our years
When every year is seen behind us
The leap of faith will bring us here
On to colouring our flavours
The final earning of our love
Through the eyes of every saviour
We find a coloured, flying dove
Past the thought and indecision
In final days we’ll only smile
We’ve seen the truth of fate and fiction
Our open hearts have spread for miles
