The People Sit At Attention

The People Sit at Attention

In our silent appeal
On our knees before the king
We did kneel
But in his fit of rage
He pushed us to the ground
Took our freedom as his gage
But one day we will proudly stand
Upon this kings grave
And reclaim the crown from his dusty hand
Castles are built on soil
Where kings will fall
To those who did toil
And a fool worshipped in haste
Shall suffer by peolple of valor
When autocracy is laid to waste.
Be wary of the shoulder you rub
Because while the free hand waves
The other may carry a club
