The People Confessed Their Sins
The people they do evil
The people they did sin
The people they do evil
And the people confessed their sins
Now in the 24th day of the month;
The children of Israel, (got up);
Gathered together;
Assembled together;
Fasted and worn sack clothes and earth upon them;
Who are these men, who are those men;
Set apart themselves from all the strangers;
While being in mortal danger;
the people were wrong
the people sang this song
the people stood up
and confessed their sins, then with God in their lives
they could live eternally, forever, forever
the people confessed their sins
Now they stood up in the place
In addition read in the book of the law;
together with so much amazing grace
Fasted and wore sack clothes
1/4th part of the day read the law another way
the people were wrong
the people sang this song
the people stood up
and confessed their sins, then with God in their lives
they could live eternally, forever, forever
the people confessed their sins
and worshipped the Lord their God
The people they do evil
The people they did sin
The people they do evil
And the people confessed their sins
the people were wrong
the people sang this song
the people stood up
and confessed their sins, then with God in their lives
they could live eternally, forever, forever
the people confessed their sins
