The Pendulum's Thrust

The dull tick of the blade against my throat waits for the sound; I sit in wait. I hear the moan of another chapter and quiet the pendulum the best I can. Choking on utterances of a beggar's plea, I find the potential energy that set the trap. I should have never thought of you. -James Kelley 2013, All rights reserved.
