The Pendulum of Life

The shifts and changes always do happen
They are part and parcel of our life certain
And the vacillation continuously goes on
Within the corridor of duality ad-infinitum.

It is a steady cycle of comings and goings
Bring in turn pleasant and upsetting results
That makes us cheerful and gloomy by turns
But that never stops us chasing our pursuits.

We in our stupidity get carried by the swing
Perch on cloud nine with a good happening
With some gloomy event go into hibernation
Thus get swayed by occurrences common.

The beauty of living lies in remaining stable
Not being predisposed by the things volatile
Events do happen but fade away gradually
And not allow them to bother us, needlessly.

If summer comes winter does not lag behind
On the back of sorrows many joys are seated
Not getting oppressed by their prickly burden
Is the secret of a happy life wholly contented.
