The Pathways End.
Decades passing have carved the depth
On this façade past it’s youth
Life’s truth and core reside here
My story has been penned complete
The traveled road is at its end
From the soft breeze of autumn
To the iced boned clutch of hoarfrost
Life’s tattered cloak discarded at my feet
For I have few steps left to amble
That youthful luminosity held
Has been my journeys radiance
With a fiery unspoken memoir
Warming the last miles trekked
In the end with slow tepid movement
Unbolting frost frozen gates
Dwelling on what must exist beyond
The roads of life I’ve walked
