The path to home
With flesh and bone we cross the stone
Over the ragged rock we worry not
Our feet are tough
Our steps are rough
We walk forward home
Now sun and day no longer stay
Our path is set and will be met
Our legs are weary
Our eyes not teary
We prepare forward home
Though rock and stone may be our throne
And leaves and grass may hold our class
The stars are high
On our backs we lie
We dream forward home
While night and packs are on our backs
Our heavy weight will guide our fate
We trudge on
At light of dawn
We march forward home
When dirt and feet no longer meet
Break at home we do not roam
Naught to bow
We rest now
We rest here at home
