The path

Show me the last time I truly saw your face.
This has to be just short of insane.
This path we are walking doesn't feel safe.

I stumble as push forward
bones and dreams of some other time and place.
Three steps was a lifetime ago.

No vision nor eye for seeing.
looking back through fogy memories
careful not to skip back into reality.
this path we are walking doesn't feel safe.

This poem hums with vulnerability and disorientation, capturing the eerie weight of memory, regret, and uncertainty. The repeated line anchors the emotional unease, while the imagery of stumbling, fog, and fragile dreams evokes a haunting, liminal journey. It’s raw and reflective—like wandering through the past on unstable ground. Beautifully fractured and emotionally charged.
